Demo Bikes & Free Shuttles

Demo slots are 45 minutes long, but with a free shuttle all day you're able to get multiple runs in before dropping your bike off and trying another one!

Meet us at the big drop on Slim Shady for a jump contest you won't want to miss! Show us what you got and the fan favorites will walk away with prizes.

RSVP & Ticket Info

🎟️ This "ticket" serves 3 purposes:

1️⃣ RSVP-ing means you have signed the demo bike waiver and can reserve your demo slot ASAP each morning when registration opens. Each person will be required to do this before reserving a demo slot, so getting it done ahead of time means faster reservations for you!

2️⃣ This gives us a good headcount for our vendors such as FOX, SRAM, and food trucks so they can come with enough gear & food for everyone all weekend.

3️⃣ Knowing our headcount ahead of time helps us be better prepared to host an awesome weekend that can account for everyone coming. We're talking the number of Demo Bikes we bring, the amount of ridable demo slots you can sign up for, prizes we hand out, + more.

Weekend Activities

👻 Our Trek staff will be dressed for the occasion in Halloween costumes on Saturday - prizes will be given to the spookiest, most fun, and outlandish costumes you can come up with!

🏕️ Camping is available, FREE, and encouraged all weekend. Spaces are not reservable and are on a 1st come 1st served basis.

🎪Vendors will be at the top of the Hill so be sure to stop by and visit each booth for swag, bike knowledge, freebies, + MORE from our friends from all over.

Key Information

🔞 Kids under 18 looking to reserve a demo bike will need an adult present at the Trek Registration Tent.

🪪 ID's will be required to reserve a demo bike and will need to be given when you pick up your demo bike. We will hold onto them during your ride and will return it when you drop your demo off.

Frequently asked questions

Does it cost money to demo a bike?

Nope! Demos are free all weekend, but we would love for everyone to donate to Horns Hill directly if you can as a thanks for hosting all of us for the weekend.

Is camping permitted?

YES! Encouraged actually, and free. Limited space available, it is recommended to set-up camp Friday night to ensure a spot all weekend. It DOES accommodate pop-up campers. No Hook-ups.

What is this I hear about costumes?

It's the Trek Retreat...ya know, trick-or-treat? So come in your best Halloween Costume Saturday, all of our Trek Staff will be rocking their own & prizes will be passed out for our favorites.

What bikes are available to demo?

Last year we had 6 different bikes available to demo all weekend. 2 different E-Bikes: our Rail and Fuel EXe. 4 acoustic bikes: the NEW Slash, Fuel EX, the 5th Gen Slash, & our Top Fuel. Let's see what 2024 brings...tbd!

How long are the demo slots?

When you register for a demo slot, you'll have your bike for 45 minutes. Please be timely in your pick-up and drop-off so the next person can have their allotted time as well.

What do I need to reserve a demo bike?

You will need your phone to scan a QR Code in order to sign our electronic demo waiver. You will also need a valid ID in order to pick-up your demo.

Can I switch the pedals to my own for my demo?

Yes! We'd be more than happy to make any customizations to your demo bike that you'd like - however, please keep in mind that your demo slot is for 45 minutes which includes the set-up of the bike. Please keep this in mind so we can stay on schedule.

How are the bikes set-up for demos? I like my levers in a particular way.

All of our bikes are set-up the same standard way to fit the wide variety of riders we see at demo events. We know experienced folks may like things a particular way, but the bikes have to accommodate inexperienced riders as well.

Do you provide helmets for demos?

Yes! We will have demo helmets available for you to borrow for your ride. Each bike will have flat pedals ready as well. No need to bring the basics, but elbow/knee pads or other safety equipment will not be provided.

Is there a way to reserve a demo bike if I’m coming from a few hours away?

Thanks for coming all the way out for the Trek Retreat! Unfortunately, there is no way to pre-register for a demo slot. They will go on a 1st come 1st serve basis. Registration opens at 9:00am both mornings, so hop in line to grab your bike slot!

For camping, can we bring a fire pit to set up?

YES! There will be a fire going at the Shelter House at night, but feel free to start your own.

Do I have to pay for the bike shuttle?

Nope! Trek is covering the shuttles for the weekend, feel free to send some donations their way if you'd like.
