Darien

There's no shortage of events and things to do in Darien, NY, from massive summer concerts to intimate community gatherings. The area's calendar is defined by large-scale shows at Darien Lake Amphitheater in the warmer months and a year-round, community-focused arts scene in nearby Batavia. This seasonal rhythm means outdoor festivals and free concerts dominate the summer, while local theater and gallery events provide entertainment during colder periods.

• Head to downtown Batavia for a walkable arts scene, where GO ART! hosts gallery openings and the Main St. 56 Theater presents local productions.
• Experience major national touring acts during the Summer Concert Series at the expansive Darien Lake Amphitheater.
• Enjoy seasonal celebrations, from the annual Genesee County Fair in the summer to the family-friendly Fright Fest and Boo Fest at Six Flags Darien Lake in autumn.
