Bloomville

While Bloomville itself is a quiet hamlet, there are plenty of events and things to do in the surrounding Delaware County area. The cultural calendar is most active in summer and fall, reflecting the region's rural and agricultural roots with markets, fairs, and outdoor performances. Outings often involve a scenic drive to a specific destination, from the bookstores of Hobart to the stages in Franklin and East Meredith.

• For a quiet afternoon, the 'Book Village' of Hobart offers a unique experience browsing its many specialty bookstores, which also host author events and semi-annual sales.
• The Franklin Stage Company provides a professional summer theater season with admission-free plays in a historic chapel, complete with post-show discussions.
• In Walton, the Castle on the Delaware serves as a central hub for nightlife with live bands, tribute acts, and community parties in a historic armory.
