Vale

While Vale itself is a quiet community, there is no shortage of events and things to do in the surrounding towns of Lincoln and Catawba counties. The scene is defined by large annual festivals in historic downtowns, seasonal outdoor music, and unique experiences at agricultural destinations. Community life often centers on the walkable main streets of Lincolnton, Hickory, and Newton, especially from spring through fall.

• For a classic night out, head to downtown Hickory for a comedy show at The Comedy Zone or to catch a regional band at The Hickory Premier.
• Experience local history and culture at Hart Square Village's annual Heritage Festival or take in a performance at the Lincoln Cultural Center.
• Enjoy free, family-friendly outdoor music during the warmer months with the Alive After Five series in Lincolnton or The Sails Original Music Series in Hickory.
