Best events in

Salem

While Salem itself is quiet, the region's best events and things to do unfold in the lively downtowns of nearby Ann Arbor, Plymouth, and Northville. Ann Arbor's energy is driven by the university, creating a dynamic scene for music and performing arts. In contrast, Plymouth and Northville cultivate a classic town-square atmosphere with community-focused gatherings.

• Ann Arbor's legendary music scene includes intimate folk and roots shows at The Ark and a diverse mix of indie, rock, and punk acts at The Blind Pig.
• The walkable, historic centers of Northville and Plymouth are perfect for an afternoon out, from browsing the seasonal farmers markets to enjoying a professional play at Tipping Point Theatre.
• Larger venues on and off the University of Michigan campus, like Hill Auditorium and the Michigan Theater, host major concerts, comedy tours, and other cultural performances.
