Preston

While Preston itself is a quiet town, there is a rich calendar of events and things to do in the surrounding Caroline and Talbot County communities. The local scene is defined by seasonal, town-sponsored festivals and a strong connection to the nearby cultural hub of Easton. For many, a night out involves either a local pub gathering or a short drive to see a show or visit an art gallery.

• The arts and culture scene is centered in historic Easton, home to the Avalon Theatre, the intimate Stoltz Listening Room, and numerous galleries that participate in the monthly Monthly Gallery Walk.
• For a classic small-town feel, downtown Denton's Market Street serves as a hub for community life, hosting events like the annual Caroline Summerfest and gatherings at the Market Street Public House.
• Annual town celebrations are a major part of local life, including Ridgely's Strawberry Festival and Christmas in Ridgely, both held at venues like Martin Sutton Memorial Park.
