Otis

While Otis itself has a quiet, rural character, the surrounding Berkshires offer a wealth of events and things to do. The area's cultural life peaks in the summer with world-class performing arts festivals in nearby towns like Lenox and Becket. A strong year-round scene also thrives in the theatres of Pittsfield and the intimate music venues of Great Barrington and Stockbridge.

• An evening in Lenox Village can start with dinner before a classical performance at Tanglewood or a play at Shakespeare & Company.
• The Upstreet Cultural District in downtown Pittsfield is home to venues like Barrington Stage Company and The Colonial Theatre, presenting professional stage productions.
• Intimate live music is a staple, with nightly acts at The Lion's Den in Stockbridge and regular blues or jazz at Firefly Gastropub in Lenox.
