For events and things to do in Baldwin, LA, the local scene is rooted in community traditions and the natural beauty of the Bayou Teche. Much of the activity draws from deep Cajun and Chitimacha roots, with celebrations often centered on heritage, food, and music. While Baldwin itself offers a peaceful atmosphere, the wider St. Mary Parish area, including Franklin and Charenton, provides a broader range of cultural gatherings.

• Wander through nearby Franklin, where the historic district's 19th-century architecture provides a scenic backdrop for recurring activities like the Franklin Farmer's Market.
• Experience significant cultural celebrations such as the annual Chitimacha Powwow, a festival of Native American heritage held each fall in Charenton.
• Join in Baldwin's own community spirit at local functions held at the Baldwin Community Center or along Main Street for the town's annual Mardi Gras Parade.
