Cedar Point

While a small village, there's no shortage of events and things to do in Cedar Point, IL, and the surrounding LaSalle County. Much of the action centers on the historic downtowns of nearby LaSalle and Ottawa, where community theaters and pubs draw local crowds. The area's social calendar is also shaped by seasonal festivals and outdoor concerts that take advantage of the region's natural setting.

• Historic downtown LaSalle offers a walkable evening out, with pre-show dinners near Stage 212 or casual drinks at the 9th Street Pub.
• Cultural experiences range from lawn concerts on the grounds of the Hegeler Carus Mansion to full stage productions by local talent.
• The region comes alive with recurring celebrations like Utica's annual Burgoo Festival and the seasonal Ottawa Farmers & Makers Market.
