Nicolaus

While Nicolaus proper is known for its quiet, rural character, a wide variety of events and things to do are found in nearby Sacramento. The city’s energy is concentrated in the central grid, where Downtown and Midtown serve as the primary hubs for entertainment and culture. Sacramento's identity as America's Farm-to-Fork Capital also shapes many of its most distinctive gatherings.

• Midtown's lively, walkable streets create a natural starting point for an evening, moving between art galleries for the monthly Monthly Art Walk or catching a show at The Sofia or Ace of Spades.
• Major touring concerts and Broadway productions are hosted in Downtown's large-scale venues, including the Golden 1 Center and the SAFE Credit Union Performing Arts Center.
• The region's agricultural roots are celebrated at the annual Farm-to-Fork Festival on Capitol Mall and at neighborhood farmers' markets, like the year-round one in Midtown.
