Box Canyon

While Box Canyon itself is a quiet residential area, there is a great variety of events and things to do in the surrounding communities. The local scene is centered in nearby Simi Valley, which has a full calendar of community festivals, and the western San Fernando Valley. Most gatherings have a family-friendly, suburban feel, with larger events concentrated on weekends.

• For a community-focused atmosphere, Simi Valley is the primary destination, hosting annual celebrations like Simi Valley Days and performances at the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center.
• Outdoor gatherings are a staple, from the weekly Canoga Park Farmers Market to annual outdoor events like the Hispanic Heritage Festival in Simi Valley.
• History and culture come together at venues like Strathearn Historical Park & Museum, which hosts events in a unique open-air setting.
