Alamo

While Alamo itself has a quiet, residential pace, there is no shortage of events and things to do in the surrounding communities. The region's social life centers on the walkable, historic downtown of Danville and the more urban, bustling center of Walnut Creek. These neighboring towns provide the area's primary hubs for arts, nightlife, and community festivals.

• For a walkable evening out, downtown Danville's historic Hartz Avenue has boutique shops and a mix of comedy and music at the Village Theatre and Art Gallery.
• Walnut Creek's downtown offers a more bustling scene, from major theatrical productions at the Lesher Center for the Arts to live music and dancing at Bourbon Highway.
• Local traditions bring the community together, including the weekly Alamo Certified Farmers' Market and the annual Autos of Alamo car show.
