Holt

Tied to the rhythm of the University of Alabama's academic calendar, the schedule of events and things to do in the Holt, AL area is uniquely dynamic. Much of the activity centers on neighboring Tuscaloosa, where the high-energy college scene along The Strip contrasts with the more relaxed vibe of the downtown district. Beyond nightlife, the community gathers for major concerts at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater and for annual arts festivals that draw from across the region.

• For a spirited night out, head to The Strip, where venues like Druid City Music Hall anchor the student-focused scene, especially during football season.
• Downtown Tuscaloosa offers a more laid-back experience with local breweries like Black Warrior Brewing Company and the historic Bama Theatre for films and performances.
• Experience the local arts culture through the monthly Monthly Art Walk or at large annual gatherings like the Kentuck Festival of the Arts and Druid City Arts Festival.
