Organisateur de Techne Student-Led Event Series: 'Uneven Ground'
This Techne research group originated from informal discussions among students during the January 2025 Techne congress, who recognised the need to address issues related to class and socioeconomic inequalities that are often overlooked in Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) events. As a group, we are interested in the interplay of class, place, and identity, and seek to emphasise the importance of social class in research, academia, and more broadly, in how we look at and navigate the world. We aim to encourage input from people across the entire class spectrum, not just those from working-class backgrounds. By examining the complexities and impacts of class and socioeconomic status, along with their intersections with other identities and place, we aim to foster broader initiatives and actions on these topics within the Techne community and beyond.
