Organizer of SCONYC 03-19-2022: Transitions & Transformations
The SCIENCE COUNCIL OF NEW YORK CITY, also known as "SCONYC," is a coordinating and teacher-educating group for nine SCIENCE EDUCATION organizations serving teachers in New York City area elementary, intermediate and high schools.SCONYC maintains active liaisons with the New York State Education Department and its Office of Standards and Instruction, and with the New York City Department of Education's Science Unit.  SCONYC is in communication with many of the colleges and universities in the Greater New York City area, whose faculty, students and staff play important roles in promoting the activities of SCONYC and its MEMBER ASSOCIATIONS.SCONYC has excellent communication with many Greater New York City area science education agencies whose curators, interpreters and non-classroom educators are important resources for science education.
