Ms. Courtney L. Black, and Rev. Dr. Felicia V. Black are an intergenerational, mother-daughter team based in Cleveland, Ohio, who are deeply committed to creative advocacy, personal growth, and community transformation.Courtney L. Black is a poetess and multidisciplinary artist with a background in Cultural Anthropology and Sociology. She is the Founding Artistic Director of Lillie B’s House, Sankofa Sol Arts Inquiry Collective (SSAIC ), and the founder of Le Chat Noir Productions. Courtney specializes in theatre and multimedia work that explores social change and artistic expression. Her creative projects are designed to foster inclusive spaces for collaboration, and she is passionate about using art to drive meaningful dialogue and change.Felicia V. Black, with over 27 years of experience, has dedicated her life to creating nurturing spaces that support learning, healing, and personal growth. Her work spans caring for and educating adults, children and families, guiding individuals through life transitions, and designing educational and spiritual experiences. Through her work at Lillie B’s House, Felicia blends spiritual depth with creative expression, helping individuals move beyond surface-level spirituality and into intentional, actionable practices of self-awareness and growth. She is the founder and co-lead of Sankofa Sol Arts Inquiry Collective (SSAIC).Together, they host experiences and events that encourage artistic exploration, spiritual and personal development, and community empowerment. Through their shared vision, Felicia and Courtney are committed to creating spaces where individuals can heal, learn, and express their full potential.
