Eventbrite Receives SBCA Best of Business 2009 Award; Named a Finalist for San Francisco Business Times’ “Best Places to Work”
Leading Social Commerce Company Recognized for Outstanding Corporate Culture and Innovation
March 25, 2010: San Francisco – Eventbrite, the fastest growing social commerce company, today announced that it has been named a winner for the Small Business Commerce Association’s (SBCA) 2009 Best of Business Award in the Internet category, as well as honored amongst the finalists for the San Francisco Business Times and Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal‘s annual list of Best Places to Work in the Bay Area.
“Eventbrite is all about passion, excitement and delight. So, a number one priority is instilling these values in our own corporate culture. As an employee-centric company, it is really important to us that we nurture a work environment that balances diligence and hard work, with fun and mutual-respect,” said Julia Hartz, co-founder and president of Eventbrite. “Both of these awards demonstrate the critically important role our entire team has in fueling our growth and accelerating our ability to provide customers with the best possible experience.”
The SBCA 2009 Award Program recognizes the top 5% of small businesses throughout the country. Using statistical research and consumer feedback, the SBCA identifies companies that demonstrate what makes small businesses a vital part of the American economy. The selection committee chooses the award winners from nominees based off statistical research and also information taken from monthly surveys administered by the SBCA, a review of consumer rankings, and other consumer reports. Award winners are a proven asset to their community and exemplify what makes small businesses great.
The San Francisco Business Times’ “Best Places to Work” program selects the top 100 companies to work for in the San Francisco Bay Area based on employee satisfaction, feedback and ratings – therefore serving as a true indicator of the workplace environment. The official rankings will be released on April 28th at a special awards ceremony honoring each company, and will be published in their entirety in both the San Francisco Business Times and Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal on April 30th.
