Eventbrite Named Official Ticketing Platform for the San Francisco Deltas

Seating innovation and interactive fan experiences coming to iconic Kezar Stadium

San Francisco, Calif., – September 13, 2016 –  Eventbrite, the world’s largest self-service ticketing platform which powers two million events around the globe each year, and the San Francisco Deltas, a new professional soccer team, today announced a partnership to bring a seamless and innovative ticketing experience to fans attending games held at the iconic Kezar Stadium. The San Francisco Deltas will begin leveraging Eventbrite’s ticketing platform and reserved seating technology for their inaugural 2017 season.

“I’ve long admired Eventbrite’s role in reimagining the ticketing industry, and believe their highly customizable solution will not only improve the management of our operations, but also provide an elevated live experience for our fans,” said Brian Andrés Helmick, CEO of SF Deltas.  “Eventbrite shares the Deltas’ passion for using superior technology in innovative ways to enhance the fan experience, so partnering with them was a natural choice.” “We’re proud to be part of the great work the San Francisco Deltas are doing to harness inventive ways to fill their stands and bring the local sporting community together,” said Julia Hartz, CEO of Eventbrite.  “As a platform powering millions of events each year, we’re inspired by organizations like the SF Deltas who strive to fuel people’s passions while inspiring community engagement.”

Technology initiatives are being lead by Bryant Harrison, a huge soccer fan who joined the Deltas as Director of Product Management after working for Google, Zynga and Hangtime, an event discovery startup that worked with Eventbrite’s API.  In addition to offering a fan-friendly platform for buying tickets, the SF Deltas plan to experiment with flexible seating, allowing fans to choose their seats based on their interests and affinity groups.

“I believe flexible seating will create a fun experience for fans that will change from game to game,” said Bryant Harrison, Director of Product Management for the Deltas.  “For example, for one game, a fan could sit with fellow supporters of their favorite European soccer club, and at another game, a family could sit amongst other families of fans with children of similar ages.” Fans can now reserve their Season Tickets for the inaugural season at sfdeltas.com and become Founding Season Ticket Members for an initial deposit of $50 per person.  The first preseason game will take place in February 2017 against the San Jose Earthquakes and the regular season will commence in April 2017.
