Eventbrite Continues Rapid International Expansion – Launches Localized Websites in First Non-English Speaking Languages: French, French Canadian and Spanish
San Francisco, Calif. – March 29, 2012 – In a display of continued commitment to international expansion, Eventbrite today announced three new fully-localized versions of its innovative ticketing service in French, French Canadian, and Spanish. As the first non-English versions of Eventbrite, these new launches place the company’s innovative pioneering platform in eight countries, each with fully-localized offerings.
Eventbrite’s simple and powerful event organization, promotion, and ticketing tools have helped customers worldwide issue over 50 million tickets, to date. In 2011 alone, events were posted on the platform in over 170 different countries, and the company has reported that nearly 20% of its business comes from outside the United States. This is evidence of the pervasive need for easy-to-use, flexible event management software that can be leveraged by organizers of both large and small events around the world.
Founded in 2006 by Kevin and Julia Hartz (CEO and President, respectively) and CTO Renaud Visage, Eventbrite brings innovation to four primary areas of focus: the self-service ticketing platform; mobile products; data capture; and customer support.
- The web-based software serves the large segment of event organizers who never before had access to inexpensive, flexible tools that make it easy to manage events and collect payments.
- The company’s mobile offerings (available internationally) include the Entry Manager app, which turns an iOS or Android device into a ticket scanner, and the Eventbrite App, which facilitates paperless ticketing by making it easy for event attendees to pull up the tickets they’ve ordered on their mobile device.
- Eventbrite provides organizers with a data dashboard that offers unprecedented visibility into their attendees’ behavior, so that they can make informed marketing and staffing decisions.
- And lastly Eventbrite stands out from any other registration platform on the market with 24 hour support, 7 days a week.
“Across communities, we’ve found the pain points of event organizers to be universal – from collecting payments and spreading the word to tracking sales and getting people through the door. We’ve already observed early adoption in France, Spain and Canada, so we are excited to offer a fully localized product that addresses these needs,” said Stephanie Hannon, vice president of International at Eventbrite. “We also know that these markets will be using Eventbrite in unique ways, so we look forward rapidly developing the platform based on our new French, Spanish and Canadian users.”
