Eventbrite Acquires nvite
nvite’s Design-Focused, Community Events Solution Augments Leading Ticketing and Registration Platform.
San Francisco, Calif. — March 31, 2017 — Eventbrite, the world’s largest event technology platform which powers nearly three million events around the globe each year, has acquired nvite, a highly customizable, community-focused event management and registration platform. The acquisition will further extend Eventbrite’s capabilities to meet the unique needs of professional organizers using the platform to connect with their communities through live events.
“We’re thrilled to welcome nvite to the Eventbrite family, to join us in our pursuit of empowering hundreds of thousands of event organizers to use live events to engage and enrich their communities,” said Tamara Mendelsohn, VP of Product at Eventbrite. “nvite has been a valuable partner for some time, and the team have inspired us with their design prowess and ability to build such an intuitive platform. Together, we will achieve great things.”
Prior to the acquisition, nvite was integrated with Eventbrite’s open API, Eventbrite Spectrum, delivering branded event listings for community-focused organizations. The platform’s core offerings include customizable registration pages, branded event listing hubs, and a number of other features that were created specifically to meet the needs of brands desiring visual consistency throughout their online event experiences. The company’s current customer roster includes Stella & Dot, EdTechTeam, and José Andrés’ ThinkFoodGroup.
“We’ve always designed and built for the customer’s customer, the attendee; which is what made our offering really unique,” said Martin Ringlein, nvite CEO and co-founder. “Bringing the ticketing power and global scale of Eventbrite together with nvite’s intuitive technology has huge potential, and we’re excited about the road ahead.”
All six nvite employees have joined Eventbrite and will be based out of the company’s San Francisco headquarters. The nvite deal is yet another marker of continued momentum for Eventbrite, following the recent release of Eventbrite Venue, and the second acquisition announcement for the company this year. In January, the company acquired Ticketscript, one of Europe’s largest self-service ticketing providers, which expanded the company’s global footprint and positions Eventbrite as Europe’s third largest ticketing platform.
