Festival season has officially begun! It’s that time of year again when things start to heat up in the City by the Bay. Eventbrite’s got you covered with a few happenings that are particularly hot this weekend.
Mortified is back! Head to The Makeout Room in the Mission either Friday or Saturday to re-live those awkward moments of teenage angst. One weekend each month you’ll experience everyday adults sharing their most embarrassing and real childhood letters, lyrics, journals, home movies and artwork… in front of total strangers. Part comedy, part theater, part therapy, if you haven’t checked it out yet this is definitely a must see.
Ready to get your dance on? Take a trip back in time through the decades with either Friday’s 90s coverband Love Fool at The Parlor, or bust out your best disco threads and get ready to get down on Saturday at Disco City at Manor West.
If you want to grab some serious grub on Saturday you can get tickets to Indian Street Food—the entire nine-course feast is only $45, which includes all the food, wine, tax, and tip.
Before the weekend ends make sure you don’t forget about Dad- Sunday is Father’s Day so to go above and beyond just a card by treating dad to a day of sailing with Call of the Sea. Or you can take him to The Arts Cafe for a side of art and entertainment with your Sunday brunch.
Last but not least, I’d like to introduce myself! My name is Brianna, and I’m Eventbrite’s new SF Event Evangelist. My role will be to get out to tons of great Eventbrite events in the Bay Area, and to make sure you know about them too. I’ll be sending out a weekly SF newsletter with some of my favorites, which you can sign up for below. You should also follow me on Twitter, where I’ll be sharing event updates. Hope to see you at the next great SF event!
