Getting started with the follower feature

People who are interested in your events can follow you after you eblink{complete your organiser profile=>https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/support/articleredirect?anum=41655}. When you publish a new public event, your followers get an email or app notification from Eventbrite.

<h2 id="1">Things to know</h2> <ul><li>With a complete profile, you can be featured on Eventbrite’s homepage, app, and social media promotion.</li><li>An algorithm decides what events to feature, so Eventbrite doesn&#39;t pick your event specifically. However, a high-quality organizer profile increases your odds.</li><li>Eventbrite will only email followers when you publish public events—not for private or invite-only events.</li><li>Eventbrite doesn&#39;t give out followers’ personal information, like names and email addresses.</li><li>You can’t disable the follow feature on your organizer profile.</li><li>You must add an organizer name to your profile to enable the follower feature.</li></ul> <h2 id="2">Improve your organizer profile</h2> <p>The higher quality your organizer profile is, the more followers and registrations you’ll get. To attract more followers, an organizer profile should:<br> </p> <ul><li>Provide an interesting overview of your events.</li><li>Present you as a trustworthy event creator, so that people can invest their time and money with confidence.</li></ul> <p><br>To get there:<br> </p> <ul><li>Add an organizer name to enable the follow feature.</li><li>Add an image. It could be your logo or an image that illustrates your event or creates interest. Eventbrite may prompt people to follow your profile using only your organizer name and image.</li><li>Link to your website and social media. The more you share about yourself, the more confident attendees will be in your events. As a bonus, you could get more followers on social media.</li><li>Add a description to the “About this Organizer” section. Tell people what you do and why it matters.</li></ul>
