The Elegant Epsilon Chapter of Lambda Pi Upsilon Sorority

Lambda Pi Upsilon Sorority, Inc. was founded at The State University of New York College at Geneseo, otherwise known as SUNY Geneseo, on November 6, 1992.

Our founders, known as our 6 Pillar of Strength, intended to diversify the collegiate offerings of the SUNY Geneseo community. They aspired to strengthen the representation of students of color, particularly the women of color on campus, through cultural awareness, and academic enrichment. Their vision extended far beyond one’s collegiate experience, and hoped that with strength in numbers they’d one day develop an impervious network of women who lead and empower.

Today, the intent of our Six Pillars enables empowerment across countless campuses, and can be recognized as a legacy for those who choose the Lambda Way.

The Elegant Epsilon Chapter of Lambda Pi Upsion Sorority was founded on April 26, 1997 by three women who wished to promote diversity, empower women and expand the values of Lambda Pi Upsilon Sorority, Inc. through effective programming such as forums, workshops and community service.
