Office of Information Policy
The mission of the Department of Justice (DOJ) Office of Information Policy (OIP) is to encourage and oversee agency compliance with the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). OIP is responsible for developing government-wide policy guidance on all aspects of FOIA administration. OIP also provides legal counsel and training to agency personnel.
Eventbrite is not a government website, and is controlled and operated by a third party. While the DOJ must adhere to the DOJ Website Privacy Policy, that Policy does not apply to Eventbrite. By using Eventbrite, you are providing Eventbrite, and possibly other non-governmental third parties, access to your personally identifiable information (PII).
OIP, a component of DOJ, uses Eventbrite to facilitate registration for its training and events. OIP uses Eventbrite to collect and retain PII, including an event registrant’s name, email address, and other information necessary for event registration.
