MyNOG

MyNOG is an informal initiative started by a group of like-minded peers on a voluntary basis to create an informal vendor/technology agnostic platform for the Internet community to come together – not a formal association or forum. The premise of MyNOG is to break down the high walls within the local network operator community and remind them that the Internet is part of a collaborative ecosystem via our annual conference. Originally intended to encourage sharing of knowledge, learning and co-operation on operational issues and technologies of interest to network operators in Malaysia, we've gradually evolved towards covering a wider audience for the purpose of inclusivity – open to anyone interested in furthering the MyNOG objectives. Our target audiences has grown beyond the usual Internet Service Provider community towards covering a wider audience, including but not limited to Mobile Operators, Data Centre Providers, CDNs, ICT and System Integrators, Enterprises, Academia etc. In addition to that, MyNOG has also been pushing forward to position ourselves as a "neutral voice" through participation in public and industry-focused forums, with the hope of playing a small part in shaping national policies and strategies.
