Jodi Klugman-Rabb, PsyD, LMFT, LPC
Jodi is a PsyD, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a private practice in Marin and Napa Counties and throughout California, New York, Massachusetts, and Florida via secure teletherapy.
Jodi’s focus is on making strong connections with clients to facilitate changing unwanted patterns with adult ADHD, trauma using EMDR, and a specialty she pioneered, Parental Identity Discovery™, spearheading the clinical approach to working Misattributed Parentage Experiences (MPE).
Jodi’s passion for the MPE population began in 2016 from her own DNA discovery from a 23andMe test, leading her to create the Sex, Lies & The Truth podcast, an interview style show dedicated to the stories of people discovering DNA revelations and coming to terms with the identity confusion and family dynamics that define the experience. She also publishes the blog Finding Family on Psychology Today where she writes in depth about being in reunion with new family, the impact on existing family and the personal cost associated with disclosing a DNA revelation.
Jodi is the mom to two ADHD teens and the wife to an ADHD husband so she walks the talk and understands firsthand the struggle and triumphs that go with an ADHD lifestyle.
Trained by founder Francine Shapiro, Jodi specializes in EMDR, incorporating it into family of origin work with ADHD and Parental Identity Discovery™. Jodi also has cultural competence with first responders using EMDR to treat PTSD.
Jodi received a Masters Degree in 2001 from Dominican University in California and obtained licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist in 2004. Shortly thereafter she also received licensure as a Professional Clinical Counselor. In 2021 Jodi became a Professor at Dominican University and received a PsyD in Human & Organizational Psychology from Touro University in 2023.
A native to the San Francisco Bay Area, Jodi and her husband raise their two kids and dog Nessie in California’s two seasons: drought and fire. She enjoys being outdoors and in her garden as much as possible, finding the perfect donut, researching travel ideas, and secretly harbors plans to move to Scotland.
