South Hadley Chorale
Founded in 1984 as the South Hadley Community Chorus, our name was changed in 1996 to the South Hadley Chorale to more accurately reflect our repertoire, which has included works by Bach, Brahms, Mendelssohn, Mozart, Rutter, Schubert, and Verdi. Â Governed by a Board of Directors, the Chorale has performed 30 major concerts with orchestra and soloists. Over 60 men and women, ranging in ages from 20s through 90s, from 17 communities in the Pioneer Valley, make up the Chorale. Concerts are usually programmed to include both sacred and secular music compositions.
We are pleased to welcome Anita Anderson Cooper as Interim Conductor for the 2023 - 2024 season. She is a well-known area musician, conductor, teacher, and composer. She is also the conductor of the Paul R. Baird Middle School in Ludlow, MA and the Smith College Handbell Choir. A more complete biography is available on our website.
