Celebrate World Refugee Day in the Bay Area! Join us for a special FREE inspirational screening of Finding Ubuntu documentary co-hosted by Rinconada Library and Splicer Films. This inspirational film beautifully honors the courage, strength, and enduring spirit of refugees around the world through the remarkable journey of Maick Mutej advocating for refugees in Malawi’s Dzaleka Refugee Camp and beyond.

This will be a special opportunity to celebrate World Refugee Day’s dedication to raising awareness, honoring resilience, and celebrating the strength and courage of people who have been forced to flee their homes due to conflict, violence, persecution, or disaster. It is also a moment to acknowledge their struggles, recognize their contributions to host communities, and advocate for their right to safety and dignity.

Following the screening, we are honored to host an uplifting Q&A session with representatives from inspiring refugee support organizations, including Fraternity Without Borders, a non-profit humanitarian organization featured in Finding Ubuntu.
