Join us at the Internet Archive for a glamorous night of film, fun, and public domain magic as we premiere the winning films and honorable mentions from this year’s Public Domain Day Film Remix Contest. Filmmakers were invited to remix the 1930 creative works and 1925 sound recordings entering the public domain in the United States in 2026— and they’ve transformed these newly freed creative works into something entirely their own.

What You Can Expect:

📸 A fabulous red carpet moment—dress as glitzy, jazzy, or detective-chic as you like

🍸 Drinks, music, and mingling with filmmakers, remixers, and friends of the public domain
