Location: Remise, Dr. Vockrodt-Scholz, Havelbergerstr 5, 10559 Berlin

Research tells us that those who care to reflect on the meaning of life live longer & happier lives filled with a greater sense of fulfillment compared to those who don't.

What to expect from the workshop:

This secular & philosophical seminar offers participants the opportunity to take away the following insights:

1. A correct understanding of the question of the meaning of life;

  1. Practical insights into the significance and fulfilling rewards of reflecting on life's meaning;
  2. Getting rid of several misconceptions most people have about the topic of the meaning of life;
  3. Practical insights into the relationship between happiness and meaningfulness in life.
  4. Health benefits of meaningfulness in life
  5. How subjective happiness, meaningfulness, eudemonic happiness, and sense of purpose in individual life can be measured using questionnaires designed by leading cognitive scientists.
  6. A better practical understanding of what truly matters in life and at the end of life
  7. What great philosophers have told us about the meaning of life
  8. Relationship between meaningfulness in life and meaningful connections.

The workshop is open to all, and no background in philosophy or science is required to participate & benefit from this event. The workshop will include a PowerPoint presentation and interactive use of a smart board to guide discussion. Participants are welcome to request a copy of the PowerPoint presentation after the session.

Previous participants described it as one of the most refreshingly thoughtful & enriching events they've ever attended.

The workshop is sponsored by our academic Institute in Eureka, CA, USA, and participation is therefore free of charge. Registration on Eventbrite is required. Tea, coffee, and light snacks will be provided during breaks.
