What to expect from the workshop:
This secular & philosophical seminar offers participants the opportunity to take away the following insights:
1. A correct understanding of the question of the meaning of life;
- Practical insights into the significance and fulfilling rewards of reflecting on life's meaning;
- Getting rid of several misconceptions most people have about the topic of the meaning of life;
- Practical insights into the relationship between happiness and meaningfulness in life.
- Health benefits of meaningfulness in life
- How subjective happiness, meaningfulness, eudemonic happiness, and sense of purpose in individual life can be measured using questionnaires designed by leading cognitive scientists.
- A better practical understanding of what truly matters in life and at the end of life
- What great philosophers have told us about the meaning of life
- Relationship between meaningfulness in life and meaningful connections.
The workshop is open to all, and no background in philosophy or science is required to participate & benefit from this event. The workshop will include a PowerPoint presentation and interactive use of a smart board to guide discussion.
