Overview

Join us for a hands-on urban farming experience, enjoy the outdoors, gain some volunteer hours, and be part of our farm community!

Dig Deep Farms, a social enterprise of Black Ag Tech, is an urban regenerative farm operating 53 acres in Alameda County cultivating specialty crops that directly focus on serving to benefit and improve the well-being of individuals and the larger community through access to fresh, locally grown foods, jobs, and skill building. In addition to regenerative agriculture, Dig Deep Farms jointly implements permaculture whole systems designs and applications.


For regular conditions, we encourage volunteers and attendees to bring the following:

  • Hat
  • Water bottle
  • Sunscreen
  • Sunglasses
  • Lunch/snacks

If rainy or cold weather is anticipated, volunteers and attendees can also consider bringing:

  • Rain jacket or poncho
  • Waterproof boots or sturdy closed-toe shoes
  • Warm layers (sweatshirt, jacket)
  • Beanie or warm hat


All participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
