About this event
Tune in to our Facebook Live Stream of our bankline stabilization workshop at the Leonville Teche Kiosk. Event organizers will be answering questions, explaining why bankline stabilization around the paddle launch is important, and demonstrating planting techniques.
The paddle launch was installed by our "Partner in Preservation", TECHE Project and we look forward to having them host this workshop and for you to join us! Registrants will have an opportunity to "drive-thru" to get free plants on May 16 or at our next event in October.
Resilient native landscapes are characterized by their ability to withstand regional hydrologic conditions, foster stormwater management, improve surface water quality, and provide a high wildlife value.
"Partners in Preservation" Bayou Vermilion Preservation Association in collaboration with Acadiana Native Plant Project, TreesAcadiana, TECHE Project, Bayou Vermilion District, Society of Wetland Scientists, Soil and Water Conservation Districts, with support from local governments and other community organizations.
