USAGSO STEMinist: In Person Robotic Adventures

Girl Scouts in the Middle East, join STEMinist host Erin Twamley for a day of designing, building and programming robots! It’s time to get curious, ask questions and problem-solve... in person!

USA Girl Scouts Overseas is excited to launch its FIRST in-person STEMinist events for Girl Scouts Overseas in the Middle East. Come experiment, tinker, learn and problem solve with other STEMinist Girl Scouts and earn a STEMinist fun patch.

This in-person session will be at the NYU Abu Dhabi campus and will focus on robotics. Come explore the world of robots – simple machines that can do tasks. Design and build your own robot to take home!

Program Details

• Check-in will open at 8:45am. The event will start promptly at 9:00am. Please be on time! The event ends at 12:00pm.
• The $35 registration fee for this program covers all supplies, the STEMinist fun patch, a take-home robot, and a snack.
• Additionally, your registration fee also includes complimentary registration in our year-long, virtual STEMinist Program Series. Already a Program Pass holder for the virtual STEMinist series? You should have received a discount code for this in-person session. If you didn't, please reach out to us at overseascustomercare@girlscouts.org.
• Planning to attend the Automotive session on Saturday, Janaury 24th? We are offering a special discout for girls who attend both sessions. Select the Robotics & Automotive ticket at checkout to register for both at the discounted rate!
• Girls must be a registered Girl Scout to attend. If you are not already a registered Girl Scout, you can register at checkout -- just select the Girl Scout Membership add-on in addition to your General Admission ticket.
• This is a drop off event. We are unable to accommodate parents and tag-a-longs. However, we do need adult volunteers! If you are interested in volunteering for the event, please be sure to add a Volunteer ticket to your order. If you don't see don't see any Volunteer tickets availiable, all roles are filled.
• This event is open to all program grade levels, Girl Scout Daisies through Ambassadors.
• A confirmation email with event details will be sent 1-week prior to the program to the email address provided during registration.
