'Understanding Stress' Course

'Understanding Stress' Course

By The Adaptable Human Project

Overview

This evidence-backed course provides a working understanding of stress and applicable tools to manage it and perform under pressure.

The aim of this course is to provide a sound understanding of stress. We will cover basic theories initially, then layer up the detail with more up-to date and relevant research. This understanding of what is happening and why gives you a ‘biological literacy’ and serves to de-mystify stress and empower you to manage it.

We start with basic theories and research about the nervous system, fight/flight/freeze responses and the window of tolerance (to name a few). The course gradually progresses to more detailed work like the polyvagal theory.

You will learn about the emotional, mental, physical, environmental, interpersonal and existential factors that contribute to everyday workplace or homelife stress.

You will have a working understanding of stress and of why stressors are stressful. You will and be empowered to manage stress through reflection exercises and leave with an applicable stress action plan.

Included in the course is a printed workbook and certificate. You will also have access to unlimited tea and coffee as well as a selection of pastries.

There is free parking with EV charging points onsite.
