Time to mobilise action in support of the wider Myasthenia Gravis community

Held in the context of European Myasthenia Gravis Awareness Month, this high-level event is co-hosted by the European Myasthenia Gravis Association (EUMGA) and MEP Tomislav Sokol (EPP, Croatia). It aims to accelerate political attention and coordinated action to improve the lives of people living with Myasthenia Gravis (MG) across Europe.

Bringing together EU policymakers, persons with MG, healthcare professionals, and caregivers, the event will shine a light on the current gaps in diagnosis, treatment, and recognition of MG, one of many rare neuromuscular diseases still too often overlooked by national and European healthcare systems.

Discussions will focus on three key areas: raising awareness of Myasthenia Gravis as a rare, complex condition; improving access to quality, standardized care; and identifying concrete policy measures to ensure equitable support for people with MG and their families.

Through high-level contributions, personal testimonies, and an interactive panel format, the event will foster collaboration across sectors and strengthen the momentum for long-term, systemic improvements in MG care.
