YALLA FOR THE HOSPITAL

Join us on 11 December at Bar Bario for an evening of conversation, culture and collective action as we raise funds for Maiurno Hospital in Sennar State, Sudan — the only functioning health centre in the surrounding area.

All proceeds will go directly toward urgent medical needs and repairs, guided by the hospital staff and community organisers in Maiurno.

THE PANEL | 19:00 (ticketed €10+booking fee)

We open the night with a panel conversation led by Sudanese voices, sharing personal stories, reflections on the situation in Sudan and what support looks like from the ground up. The panel will be followed by an audience Q&A.

Speakers:
• Abdulaal Hussein — Actor and social speaker committed to young people, refugees and inclusive societies.
• Amna Nagi — An advocate for Sudanese human rights and a key voice of the Dutch–Sudanese diaspora.

Your ticket is donated to the fundraiser and includes a complimentary drink, courtesy of Sokol Vodka.

WHY WE’RE FUNDRAISING

Maiurno Hospital is the only functioning health centre in the area, serving hundreds of people each day. After years of war and neglect, it urgently needs support. Facilities are damaged, essential hygiene supplies are lacking and staff are working tirelessly to meet the community’s needs.

Sudan is facing one of the world’s worst humanitarian crises, yet it receives some of the least attention. With more than 70% of hospitals and health facilities in conflict-affected areas no longer functioning, health centres like Maiurno Hospital have become true lifelines.
