Step into a room where sound, light, and emotion merge. On June 28th, join pianist and composer Marko Ivic at Studio 150 for the debut concert of When I Entered There Was a Room—an intimate, multi-sensory experience that brings his first album to life through piano, live electronics, and generative visuals by multimedia artist Giulia Principe.

This isn’t just a concert. It’s a journey inward.

Marko’s music blends lyrical piano with hypnotic minimalism, warm electronics, and evolving textures. Inspired by the likes of Nils Frahm and Steve Reich, the album unfolds as a sonic diary—ten pieces that explore memory, stillness, pulse, and emotional architecture.

Performed live with a full electroacoustic setup, the concert invites you into an inner space, shaped in real time by Giulia Principe’s abstract visuals.

Opening the night is Show Pony, the experimental pop project of American bassist and vocalist Laura Nygren. Expect dreamlike melodies, layered textures, and cinematic intimacy—somewhere between Björk, Kate Bush, and a fever dream.

🌑 About the Artists

Marko Ivic
Marko Ivic is a Venezuelan-born pianist and interdisciplinary artist based in Amsterdam. His music merges classical lyricism, minimalism, and electronic sound design—building expansive sonic landscapes where acoustic piano and live electronics blur together. He explores sound as space, guiding listeners inward through immersive, electroacoustic performances.

Giulia Principe
Giulia (Naples, IT) is a multimedia artist and material researcher based in Amsterdam. Her work bridges perception, science, and ecology through visuals, photography, and digital media. She created the visual identity of the album and will perform live visuals for the concert.

Show Pony
"Like Björk on a good day." – Beatradar
Show Pony is the alter ego of American bassist, singer, and producer Laura Nygren. Her music fuses experimental pop with bass-driven electronics, weaving intimate, cinematic soundscapes. She’s collaborated with artists like Soap&Skin, Damon Albarn, and stargaze.

Hendrik Walther
Hendrik Walther is a theatre maker and scenographer working across music theatre, dance, and performance. His designs often blur the lines between light, space, video, and set—creating immersive visual worlds that respond dynamically to the performers and environment. With a deep interest in posthumanism, technology, and the animation of objects, Hendrik also creates autonomous installations, experimental films, and occasionally directs his own work.
