OGD gooit de deuren van haar kantoor in Utrecht open voor een gratis SYNC-sessie voor liefhebbers. Dit is een meetup waarbij twee OGD’ers (inclusief een Most Valuable Professional (MVP)) je meer vertellen over twee verschillende onderwerpen:

• Take your VS Code development on the go
• Speak up! How to give great tech sessions

Doe woensdag 19 oktober kennis op en laat je inspireren door onze experts. Aansluitend is er de mogelijkheid om gezellig na te praten onder het genot van een drankje. Dit is geheel kosteloos. Bestel een ticket mét diner wanneer je mee wilt eten. We hebben ruimte voor veertig bezoekers, dus wees er snel bij!

OGD opens its doors in the Utrecht office for a SYNC session for all tech enthusiasts. Join us in knowledge fueled meetup on Wednesday 19th of October. Two OGD-experts (including one MVP) will elaborate on two different subjects:

• Take your VS Code development on the go
• Speak up! How to give great tech sessions

Take your VS Code development on the go (Leo Visser )

Does this sound familiar to you? You're troubleshooting an issue but you're on the go (of in transit), taking out your laptop while standing in an overcrowded bus doesn't seem to be the brightest idea. Wouldn't it be great if you could (simply) access the development environment on your phone? Or maybe you want to safeguard the development environment, and have it hosted in a place that you can control? With VS Code server these problems can be solved. Although this product is still in its very early stages, it looks very promising. In this talk, Leo will show how VS Code server works and how it compares to other remote development options. So, join Leo as we look at this new way of developing together and find out which problems this product can solve!

Speak up! How to give great tech sessions (Barbara Forbes, MVP)

Speaking at conferences is awesome! You’ll meet new people, share your knowledge, and inspire others. But there are a lot of challenges to face and overcome. In this session, Barbara will share her tips on how to get accepted at a conference, how to overcome imposter syndrome, and how to create great sessions. She will also tell you how to send a strong message into the world. To top it off, we will look at the difference between a good and a bad demo. Spoiler: you don’t have to depend on the demo gods!
