This is an online event that requires for you to register with Eventbrite and Zoom. Once this is completed, you will be immediately taken to a Zoom platform. This class requires that the instructor can see you from head to toe for the duration of the class. The class starts at 9am sharp. All participants must prossess a basic level of health and fitness. Wear loose and comfortable clothing.
'Three Cycles Breathing' is a dynamic Qigong Routine. It is a collection of Medical QiGong, Martial QiGong, and Taoist Longevity Exercises to awaken the internal energy flow of the body.
Qigong, also pronounced "Chi Kung", is a traditional Chinese practice that combines movement, meditation and breathing exercises to improve the flow of energy in the body, mind and spirit. It's considered safe for all ages regardless of one's health and fitness level.
Qigong is based on the idea that Qi or Life Force, which flows through the body, can become blocked, stagnated or flow too quickly thus disrupting an all important balance. This can lead to a wide variety health issues. Qigong exercises aims to restore this balance with breathing, movement and mind/body regulation.
Qigong is believed to have many benefits: Improved blood circulation, Enhanced immune function, Mental health support, Alleviated fatigue...anxiety...and depression, and Improved sleep quality. Just to name a few of the many benefits.
Qigong is one of many integral components of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) which also includes acupuncture, acupressure, massage and herbal medicine.
'Three Cycles Breathing / A Qigong Routine' consists of 9 sections known as 'Paragraphs'. Each paragraph consist of specific postures, movements and breathing exercises that improves the flow of Qi in various parts of the body, mind and spirit. This class will focus on the 'First Paragraph' which lays the foundation for the succeeding 8 'Paragraphs'.
Master Russell Crowley, a student of Grand Master Abdul Musawwir for 27 years, will be your instructor.

The class is a 90 minutes long. The first hour is practice and the last half hour is lecture and material...questions and answers...review.

It can take 5 to 10 minutes to perform the First Paragraph. It can take 45 minutes to a hour to perform all 9 Paragraphs. This class covers the most important paragraph in the system. 'The First Paragraph'.
