The Land Alchemists - Elevated Stage Reading & Ritual

The Land Alchemists follows Sunny, a Black genderqueer farm manager who was laid off for their teach-in on Palestine and the Congo. They return to a childhood home where they hope to heal and figure out what's next. They have the unconventional guidance from Shadow, Spirit, embodied aspects of Sunny, as well as revolutionary ancestors like Patrice Lumumba, Mahmoud Darwish, and Katherine Dunham. Most importantly, they have YOU, the audience. You are casted as "The Light Orbs" to Sunny. Together, through rituals of stillness and dance, rest and release, and even a foot soak, you journey with Sunny through several portals to refuel our collective spirit for political resistance.

This is a fundraiser where all proceeds will be split between the Panzi Foundation of the Congo, and Camp Breakers of Gaza, Palestine.

As the container is anchored in ritual, please honor how we are curating spaces that are culturally relevant for the audience:

This evening is a Black affinity space. Please join us this evening if you identify as Black. It will be an intimate experience of 40 people.

Friday, October 31, is an affinity space for those who identify as a person of color.

Saturday, November 1, the space is open to the whole public, regardless of how you identify.

Since we will be in ritual together, including a foot soak ceremony you are encouraged to wear white/light colored clothing, wear comfortable attire, and be prepared to remove your shoes.
