This Sunday we’re heading out for a beautiful hike from Falkenberg to Bad Freienwalde — forest trails, gentle hills, and a relaxed finish in a small historical town. 💚

🚆 Arrival to Start: 10:37 at Falkenberg train station

🕑 Return Train: 16:18 from Bad Freienwalde back to Berlin

⏱️ Pace: medium-fast to fast (we need to finish within 5–5.5 hours)

📏 Distance: ~18 km

⛰️ Elevation: ~350 m

🥪 Breaks: 1 lunch break + 1–2 short stops

🔁 Train options:

• RB24 from Ostkreuz
• RB63 from Gesundbrunnen
• Please buy your own ticket (Deutschlandticket works as well)

📌 Note:

Depending on group preference, we might take an earlier train around 08:00. Details will be confirmed with participants.

Winter Gear & Safety

Cold weather is expected. Please prepare with appropriate clothing:

✔ Water-resistant jacket/shoes

✔ Warm layers (hat, gloves, thermal socks)

✔ Extra warm layer for breaks

Food & Drinking Water

There will be no place to buy food along the route, so please bring:

🍱 Your own lunch + snacks

🥤 At least 2.5 liters of water/tea

🫖 Warm tea is highly recommended — it makes winter hiking much more comfortable!

Some fitness and hiking experience is helpful due to the pace and distance.
