About this event

We’ll visit fascinating sites on Mount Diablo and take short hikes to view fossils, wind caves, the Devil’s Pulpit, and other amazing rocks and landforms ranging in age from the Jurassic Period to the present day.

We’ll also view flora that grows nowhere else in the world, and learn how climate change is impacting the flora and fauna of Mount Diablo and the Bay Area.

From the top of the mountain, we'll get a view of our Greenbelt Alliance Bay Area Resilience Hotspots

WHERE TO MEET

We'll assemble at the Rock City parking area off South Gate Road. There is a restroom and water fountain near the trailhead.


NOTES
