We are here to help equip you with all the tools you need to be successful starting with Day 1 by setting up a study schedule for you.

  • Day 1 - Cheat Codes to Passing CompTIA A+ in 30 Days (Access Resources)
  • Day 2 - ATS Optimized Resume and LinkedIn Templates Cybersecurity Beginners
  • Day 3 - Interview Portfolio and Side Projects Examples for Cybersecurity Beginners
  • Day 4 - 45 Day Job Hunting Schedule to Secure First Cybersecurity Role

Day 1 - Cheat Codes to Passing CompTIA A+ in 30 Days (Access Resources)

By far bar none the most difficult hurdle standing between you and your first cybersecuity job is passing the CompTIA A+, but here is the problem.

The CompTIA A+ exam was designed for you to fail because the organization has already been acquired by a private equity group which means they have no incentive to help you pass on the first try and this is why there is a pathetic nationwide 61% first time pass rate.

Most cybersecurity beginners also confuse a certificate of completion from a university or bootcamp with the CompTIA A+ certificate.

We have also heard from a lot of graduates from cybersecurity bootcamps and university programs that a CompTIA A+ certificate is not required to start a new career in cybersecurity or IT.

They aren’t wrong except for the problem that when you’re competing against other cyber security beginners, who has a CompTIA A+ certification, the company is more likely to choose them over you.

So, what’s the solution? Rest assured champs, we got you covered.

What you need are Digital Flashcards with the Vocab and Practice Questions that will help you study on the go.

You are busy and you can’t just bring a 3 inch binder with you to work and expect to study effectively.

We have already added everything you need here and all you need is a smartphone with a Wifi connection and you are good to go.

Day 2 - ATS Optimized Resume and LinkedIn Templates Cybersecurity Beginners

Most beginners transitioning into cybersecurity and/or IT for the first time often use resume templates that are not optimized for the Applicant Tracking System or ATS for short.

Either the bootcamp or school you attended didn’t provide you with one or you did a self-study program (congrats for making it this far) and you have no idea what cybersecurity resume or LinkedIn profile should look like as a beginner.

That’s fine champs because we got you.

In this live training for Day 2 we will provide you with 10+ cybersecurity resume and LinkedIn Templates as well as walk you through how you can customize them based upon your background.

In addition we will also be covering some of the side projects that you may want to add to demonstrate your competency in landing your first role.

Day 3 - Interview Portfolio and Side Projects Examples for Cybersecurity Beginners

Another bottleneck you have to deal with (among many) as a cybersecurity beginner is not being able to land your first job because you don’t have enough experience on paper and you can’t get more experience until you land your first job.

Doesn’t that make you want to scream because you are stuck in a Catch 22 situation that you can’t escape.

No worries fam, we got you covered here too because just like every other problem in life, this is solvable.

Other people have been where you are right now and was able to move forward with our help and we will guide you through this process as well.

The problem you are facing now is helping a company minimize the risk they feel in giving you a shot, so let’s remove all their hesitations away with your portfolio.

We will be providing a list of side project examples that you can add into your portfolio that has helped other cybersecurity beginners just like you land their first role.

Disclaimer:

These are references and you should be producing your own work and we have to let you know because other people have gone to interviews before where they have been called out by the recruiting team.

Day 4 - 45 Day Job Hunting Schedule to Secure First Cybersecurity Role

Day 4 is where we put this all together champs and there are 3 sample schedules you can follow and of course you should tailor these sample schedule to meet your individual needs.

If you are transitioning into cybersecurity you are either completely dedicated to your job hunt in which case you are either not working at all, working part time, or working full time.

We get it, life happens, and you can easily get distracted; but you need a plan.

A few sample schedules our folks have used in the past will be introduced and as always we will have a Q&A session at the end to see how else we can help.

Day 5 - Cybersecurity Internship and Interview Referrals for Beginners

Most cybersecurity beginners are not even aware that they can start working as an intern and in SOME cases even get paid for their time.

Either way we want to spend Day 5 showing you how to generate interviews on your own and where the hottest job referrals are.

At the end of the day all of this hard work was based on the intention of helping you secure your first cybersecurity role.

Congratulations again for making it to the end of the week and we look forward to hearing your feedback as to what else we could have improved for our next 5 day training session on helping folks just like you transition to their first position to cybersecurity.
