Please note that the minimum age to volunteer for this event is 10 years old. Adult chaperones are required to attend with individuals age 15 and under. In addition, we required all individuals under 18 years old to have a guardian read and sign our Volunteer Service Agreement form. Forms will need to be collected in order to participate. You may provide a digital copy prior to the event or provide a physical copy on the day of the event. Please email your form(s) to volunteer@grpg.org.
We will meet at Arena Green East near the recreational courts to kick off the event! Street parking is available at Arena Green West. The recommended parking lot will require a short walk. Please be sure to plan accordingly.
Volunteers are asked to arrive by 9:00 AM for a contactless sign-in; workday instructions will follow and we will begin our walking cleanup shortly after. We provide all necessary tools for the trail cleanup. The workday will run through 10:20 AM, or when it gets too hot to work outside (seasonal). The Trail Tour will begin promptly at 10:30 AM. We are unable to accommodate drop-ins if the event is sold out. School groups and corporate teams must contact the Volunteer Coordinator in advance to schedule events.
In addition, please note that:
- Restrooms will not be readily available during the clean up, as we will be walking through the park. Please plan accordingly!
- Parking for volunteers will be standard street parking.
- We highly encourage you to bring a full, reusable water bottle.
- Closed-toed shoes and clothes you are comfortable getting dirty are required.
- We highly recommend wearing sunscreen and bringing a hat.
- Inclement weather may cancel this event; we will contact you should conditions require the event to be postponed.
