Program 1 of 3: Learn the pros and cons of a family agriculture business.

This dynamic, three-part workshop series is designed to equip farm families with the knowledge, tools, and resources needed to successfully navigate generational transitions, complex communication issues, and strategic business planning.

Join us for dinner and conversation at the Jackson Cooperative Extension Office at 876 Skyland Drive, Sylva. Each program and meal runs from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm

Part 1: Navigating the Dynamics - December 18
A communication-focused session on the pros and cons of family ag businesses and how overlapping personal and professional roles can strain communication and create conflict.

Part 2: Securing the Legacy - January 26
An overview of succession planning and tax strategies to help farmers navigate the financial and legal hurdles of transferring farm operations and ensure a smooth, financially sound transition.

Part 3: The Playbook for Change - February 9
Enjoy a farm theater skit and participate in a group panel discussion on transitioning farm operations to the next generation, and learn practical behavioral changes to improve your health and your family’s well-being.
