🌎 On October 10th 2025, YEU International in collaboration with Urban Foxes is organising an International Conference of our project New Inherit - Creating NEW talent through adaptive reuse of Heritage and Co-creation of Cultural space activation.
New Inherit brings together an international consortium working on the adaptive reuse of cultural heritage spaces by and for young people. The project was recently recognised as top 10 best practice projects co-funded by Creative Europe in the last four years and it focuses on revitalizing six historic buildings in Brussels, Weimar, Nicosia, Sofia, Palermo, and Murcia, fostering new cultural and social life within these spaces.
The conference will start with a showcase the outcomes of the project and will continue with presentations by young people - Cultural Ambassadors - who worked on local testbeds in Cyprus, Italy, Spain, Germany, Bulgaria and Belgium.
After lunch break we will hold a one-hour panel discussion on “Adaptive Reuse and Co-creation of Cultural Spaces.” The panel is composed by:
- Wim Menten & Dieter Leyssen (architects/experts form 51N4E)
- Andrii & Serafina (Logistics & Cultural Manager, TRACK)
- Pieter Meurs & Minne Huysmans (Researchers in Spatial & Social Research, EHB)
Finally, the conference will conclude with some drinks, music and space for networking.
