Mindfulness in Small Doses is a weekly gathering for people who want to manage stress more skillfully, build emotional resilience, and show up to life with more clarity and calm—without needing hours of meditation or perfect practice.

Each session includes:

  • A short, guided mindfulness practice to help you reset
  • A relatable theme grounded in everyday life (like navigating overwhelm, softening self-criticism, or staying present during tough conversations)
  • Gentle, real-time reflection with a supportive group
  • Simple tools you can bring into your day—whether you’re in a meeting, folding laundry, or stuck in traffic

You’ll learn how to:

  • Pause and respond rather than react
  • Build self-awareness without judgment
  • Stay grounded when life gets unpredictable
  • Bring mindfulness into daily moments without needing to slow down completely

This isn’t a performance or a deep dive into perfection. It’s a space to practice being human—with intention, compassion, and care.

Whether you’re brand-new to mindfulness or returning to your practice, you’re welcome here. You don’t have to know how to meditate, and you don’t need to “feel calm” to get started. Janet Fouts is the principal coach and founder of Nearly Mindful, a Silicon Valley mindfulness training organization.
