About

On Tuesday, May 21, 2019, EPA will hold a webinar outlining reporting requirements under the Mercury Inventory Reporting Rule of the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA). The final rule requires persons who manufacture (including import) mercury or mercury-added products, or otherwise intentionally use mercury in a manufacturing process, to submit their mercury information to EPA. This information will be used to develop triennial inventories of mercury supply, use, and trade in the United States.

Reporters are required to submit their information to EPA using the Mercury Electronic Reporting (MER) application by July 1, 2019, and every three years thereafter.

Who Should Attend

The primary audiences for this public meeting are companies, organizations, and individuals required to submit their mercury information under the Mercury Inventory Reporting Rule. This meeting is open to the public.

What Will Be Covered at the Event

This webinar will outline reporting requirements under the Mercury Inventory Reporting Rule, such as companies, organizations, and individuals required to report under the final rule and the required reporting information.

This webinar will not cover how to submit mercury reporting information through the MER application. A second webinar will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2019 demonstrating how to use the online MER application through EPA’s Central Date Exchange (CDX). More information about this webinar can be found on EPA’s website.
