Metal Abstract Shadow Box
Join us at The Foundry for a creative, hands-on workshop where you’ll craft your very own metal heart shadow box. Whether you're a seasoned maker or new to metalworking, this is a perfect chance to explore your artistic side and bring home a one-of-a-kind piece with industrial charm.
In this workshop, you’ll:
- Design and build a custom shadow box featuring heart-shaped metalwork
- Learn to make straight and miter cuts using a chop saw
- Shape metal hearts using a floor bender
- Prepare metal for welding using a grinde beveling techniques for strong welds
- Practice basic welding in flat and vertical down position

NOTE: Long Sleeves, long pants and closed-toed shoes are required for safety in this shop. No Shorts or Flip Flops! Natural fibers are best as synthetics can melt.

This class needs to meet the minimum enrollment in order to run. Participants will be notified of cancellation on Monday prior to the first session. In case of cancellation, participants can choose another scheduled date if available or request a refund.
